Resolving Revit warnings is now much easier than before! Guardian’s Enable Warning Tracking provides critical and timely insights into Revit warnings being generated by Revit users within the project models. You can customize which warnings are most crucial and get notified when they occur. These warnings can also be tracked through Project Central with additional information to help you track down and correct them.

Enable Warning Tracking

This feature can be enabled and customized through Project Configurations. As with all Project Configuration settings, Guardian’s Enable Warning Tracking can be customized on a project-by-project basis within Project Settings. The specific warnings to be tracked can be customized by selecting the settings cog icon.

The Warning Tracking dialog shows all the selected Revit warnings to be tracked. For each warning, a low, medium, or high priority can be set, and this will label the warnings accordingly when displayed in Project Central or Guardian Backstage. The priority level will show the warning icon in Project Central as green for low, yellow for medium, and red for high. Selecting Send Email will automatically send an email to the Project Administrator when that Revit warning is generated.

Guardian comes preloaded with the most common Revit warnings listed and priorities set. Nearly 2,000 of the available Revit warnings are available to be added to the list of tracked warnings. To add a new warning, simply click the Add New button in the lower left corner.

Warnings in Project Central

Within Project Central, the Revit warnings generated by each user can be found under Users at a Glance. Clicking on the number of warnings filters the Activity Feed accordingly. The Revit warnings can all be seen under Project Central's Timeline. Lastly, the Activity Feed can be filtered by warnings. Clicking on any of the warnings displays an informational dialog providing detailed information about that warning, giving Project Administrators the information they need to resolve Revit warnings quickly and effectively.
