The Guardian Story

Guardian is just an idea, but work has started to turn that idea into a usable technology.
2017
In early 2018, Guardian is released to the AEC market, providing the industry’s first automated standards alignment for Revit.
2018
Keeping with its namesake, Guardian provides BIM and Model Managers the means of protecting Revit models from frequently misused Revit commands and completed work with User Commands and Protected Pins.

Guardian had its first booth at the Autodesk University conference.
2019
To further enhance the automation of a firm’s Revit standards, Guardian introduces Guardian Sync Properties™, which stores and automatically updates Revit standards via the cloud.

User Commands is expanded to nearly 100 commands, allowing BIM and Model Managers to communicate processes and best practices when a Revit command is initiated.
2020
Custom Interactions are introduced, providing BIM and Model Managers significantly more protections and standards automations.

Workset Manager is released, providing the AEC industry with the first workset standardization tool and workset automations.

Guardian also introduces Guardian Backstage as a means for customers to see and analyze how their users are utilizing Revit.

Guardian is deployed in over 20 countries.
2021
2022 was about customization and refining how users interact with Guardian. Guardian’s Command Frequency and User Overrides provide BIM and Model Managers the ability to define how frequently and to whom Guardian interacts with.
2022
2023 started with further customizations with Project Configurations and the introduction of Approved Content Sources.

The introduction of Guardian Sync Traffic Control™ brought another AEC first. Sync Traffic Control™ solves the problem associated with large Revit teams trying to Synchronize with Central.
2023
The team grew by 60% and with even more exciting features coming in 2024, we're just getting started.
